A.R.S. § 15-802(B) requires school districts and charter schools to obtain and maintain verifiable documentation of Arizona residency upon enrollment in an Arizona public school. This document is designed to assist school districts and charter schools in meeting the legal requirements of the statute.
If you have received notification from Destiny School that you need to provide proof of residency, please bring this in as soon as possible. Your student may be removed from class if we do not get this information.

COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Plan
for Re-Opening Schools 2020-2021
The Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) recommend that reopening decisions be driven by the current prevalence of COVID-19 in the community. The following protocols are to be implemented at Destiny School.
Onsite Learning and Support Services
Beginning August 17, 2020, in compliance with Executive Orders 2020-41 and 2020-51, Destiny School will be making on-site support services available at the Destiny School Campus.to all students requiring special support, including special education, English language learners, and those residing in foster care settings.
Additionally, beginning August 17, 2020, on-site learning and monitoring at the Destiny School Campus.will be available for students that have nowhere else to go, Students will be supervised while they participate in distance learning classes.
On-site learning and support services will be available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm excluding Holidays and breaks.

Return to On Campus Learning Postponed (updated 10/13/20)
Due to the continued rise in COVID-19 numbers in our area, we have not been able to get approval from the Gila County Health Department or our insurance company to return to in person instruction on October 19, 2020. In the numbers last Thursday, Gila County was the only county in the state that failed to meet two out of the three benchmarks (See Charts Below). The COVID-19 numbers at this time are too volatile for the Health Department to be able to give us an accurate projection of when they might improve enough for us to return to school. We will continually monitor the numbers and return to in person learning as soon as the Health Department gives us the okay.
In response to this delay, we will be improving and expanding our free On-Site Learning and Support Services Program for students who need a place to go during the day. As part of this expansion, we are bringing in more teachers and support staff to the campus and increasing the number of rooms being utilized. We have been able to accommodate a maximum of sixty students up to this point in time. However, with the changes we are implementing, we will be able to approximately double the number of students we service, if needed. This will also provide more structure and allow students to receive more individual attention.
We are very aware of the stress that online learning has put on many families. It is also obvious that some students do not do well with virtual learning. If your student is struggling or virtual learning is creating a hardship for you, please call the school to enroll in the On-Site Learning and Support Services Program. Applications will be approved on a first come, first serve basis. While buses are the most difficult place to keep students safe, let the office know if transportation is preventing you from taking advantage of the On-Site Learning and Support Services Program. We will do the best we can to help.
